I had the opportunity to shoot these magnificent Border Collies playing in the snow. They were some of the fastest dogs I've seen move on ice. Not necessarily the most graceful, but they were really challenging to nail focus on.
This is Steven. Steven is a great guy I met at work who did an impromptu photo shoot with me in Bad Radkersberg. He and I were able to create some fantastic imagery with very little preparation. Not only was he a great model, but he is also a fantastic singer.

I took a small adventure with some Austrian friends to Altenberg An Der Rax. We were graced with glorious alpine views and incredible weather.
The Peilstein is a rock climbing area near Vienna, Austria. It's home to many a Viennese day tripper and certainly one of the better bolted areas in the Vienna area. This trip was spectacular and I was able to really take my time to set up my shots. Hopefully the end of winter brings more days like this.
The wife and I took a holiday in Penang, Malaysia. It was a quaint little town where culture and religion collide.
Zach is a co-worker that I met while on a work trip. One of the first things Zach said to me was "I hope it's okay if I practice my viola in the afternoons.". Of course, I didn't mind. It's a lovely sounding instrument and very emotional. He decided to come on one of my walks with me, and I asked him to bring his viola to make a photoshoot out of it.
Getting lost in the middle of rural areas seems to have become a past time. My work takes me out there, and my heart takes me a step further. I cant really resist going out into the forest to get lost. Perhaps it's the quiet, or perhaps its just a way to escape the everyday.
In 2017 we decided to take a road trip around the American south-west. In our little 1998 Dodge Caravan (The 2wd model), in December.
Needless to say we ended up getting snowed in when we hit Flagstaff and spent a week with some friends who lived there in a beautiful mountain house. When it finally cleared, we took a day trip north to see the Grand Canyon in the snow.
Just out on a casual walk with my wife when we stumbled upon Lichtenstein castle in the middle of the Austrian countryside.
My wife found a lady looking for volunteer help through Animal Care Austria. They are working with a animal care facility in Kiskunlachaza, Hungary, and rebuilding one of the attics after a fire ravaged part of the shelter. This upstairs room will house puppies and cats. They are constantly looking for support, so if you have a heart for strays give them a thought.
I've come back to the animal shelter for a second time. I'd have to say the suffering is worth the results. This time around we were able to put a door up, as well as get most of the walls up. The room is ready enough to house the dogs and cats that are currently experiencing a Hungarian January.
Thank you to Animal Care Austria for making this possible and for providing continuing support to these animals in need, and thank you to Sarah for leading this project and being there for them since the beginning. You are a true hero. Get in touch if you'd like to help in any way.
On this trip I visited Graz, Austria.
As a part of our great south-west American roadtrip, we found ourselves passing through Zion National Park.
A great Austrian hiking trail through some lovely mountains just before winter.
My wife and I drove through Istria one December and ended up staying at a little bed and breakfast on the shore of Bled lake, Slovenia. Mulled wine and frosty air made for the perfect december holiday.
Stars have always captivated me. from their slight shimmer, to the sheer enormity that is the sky, stars have always been an obsession.
Malibu State park is one of the places that truly shaped who I am. I spent most of my teens and early twenties getting lost in it's mountains and exploring it's valleys. I can honestly say that I know this place better than the city I currently live in.
These shots were taken on a visit back home. I decided to photograph some of my friends as we climbed the volcanic rock that scatters the valleys of this magical place.
A friend a met here in Vienna builds his own electric guitars out of wood. He hand shapes everything, and I got to join him for an afternoon of woodworking.
We took a drive down to the Croatian coast, to the little town of Rovinj.
Guy, Moose and Adam take on New Jack city. Due to pretty bad weather, I was only able to shoot one day out of the three we were there. Still, we had a geat time climbing on the desert rocks.
Anthony and Rachel decided it would be a good idea to take us on a little stroll through the snowy California mountains and not tell me, the photographer, that he was about to drop the question. Luckily enough... I was there for the big moment.
While climbing in Peilstein, these French slack liners decided to walk a massive high line. Needless to say the sight was incredible.
The city of Supetar is just off the coast of Split, Croatia. It's on an island called brac and it is home to the famous "Bol" beach. Besides the crystal blue water, the glorious views and the perfect weather, the thing that stood out most was the incredible food.
